The library aims to provide a school framework within which the individual child may procure the guidance, climate and find purpose and joy in learning. Opportunities are provided for the individual's learning needs and for creating and developing their interests. The library endeavors to aid the teachers with reference materials and visual aids to support the curriculum. It also supplies the children with recreational reading and helps them to improve their library skills. We endeavor to help children and teachers to become skillful and discriminating users of the library and its printed and non-printed materials.
Our school library is available daily, with supervision, to children wishing to use its materials including the internet. Classes are scheduled once a week for each grade K through 8. the library is staffed with a qualified librarian and volunteers and is available to students for research and study. The library has become a reality here at Q of H because of a deep concern of parents and faculty to encourage the pupils to broaden their learning horizons and become incredibly more responsible for their learning decisions. Thanks largely to the generosity and industry of our PTA and some financial aide from the State of NJ, we have a growing audio-visual resource center which contains learning materials and equipment to enhance the quality of instruction.
