Our Mission
Queen of Heaven School,
a parochial school, is part of the mission of the local parish and
Diocese of Camden to pass on the faith to the next generation. The
school is staffed by Sister, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of
Mary, and by dedicated lay persons for whom teaching in a Catholic
school is a ministry and a vocation. There exists a collaborative
commitment to maintaining a Catholic identity in the school.
The school is staffed by many dedicated lay persons and servants
of the Immaculate Heart of Mary. |

Our
Philosophy
Queen of Heaven School
strives to develop within the school community an atmosphere
animated by the Gospel spirit of freedom and charity. For all
their students, she seeks this enrichment in the dimension of
salvation so that the light of faith will illumine their gradual
growth in the knowledge of life, of humanity, and of the world in
which they live, love and serve.
Christ and His message are
communicated at Queen of Heaven through Christian
personal relationships, as well as through religious instruction
and liturgical worship.
Vital to a successful life
is the development of intellect. The school urges students toward
the fullness of life in which they may think logically, judge
rightly, and foster a sense of values. Aware of the varied
potential of students, she attempts to assess the ability of each
child, and honoring their God-given abilities, to extend the
challenge and joy of learning through a continuously developing
self-mastery of skills and concepts.
To Christ, the unique Teacher,
and Our Lady, Queen of Heaven, we commend our
efforts to actualize the above, whereby the education we espouse
and the behavior we encourage may truly reflect the Wisdom and
Goodness of God. |

Discipline
Mutual respect and cooperation
characterize interactions in a Catholic School. A positive
atmosphere of discipline and orderliness creates a safe and
supportive learning environment that fosters personal and social
growth for all students. Students are encouraged to develop
self-discipline and personal responsibility for their attitudes
and behaviors; hopefully, character is strengthened and the
ability to make good choices which reflect Gospel values is
enhanced.
Inappropriate attitude,
language or behavior of a minor nature are usually handled by the
classroom teacher or other designated adult authority. However, if
unacceptable behavior becomes repetitive and/or seriously
disruptive, the Principal addresses the issue in consultation with
the teacher and student. Parents are notified and appropriate
reasonable remedial procedures are put into action. |
